From a 22oz. Bomber
My first Epic brew.
Looks good, plenty of fluffy off-white head on top of a slightly hazy medium amber.
Smell is more piney than anything but very subdued.
Taste is really not what I think about for a pale ale. Seems almost like a good lager. The hops are not ones I can ID.... Just bitterness but not really "flavor"
Mouthfeel is very good, though.
Would not seek this one out again

From Epic's new brewery in Denver. Poured from the 22 oz bottle purchased at Grapevine Wine & Liquors in Denver. Handsome clean amber color with a sprightly foam in the tall lager glass. Great aroma of piney hops with some sweet gardenia-like scent.
Pleasingly spritzy mouthfeel with the warm malt providing a sweet background. A little tangy with hop acidity but somewhat oily and thick on the tongue. Brewer says this is Northwest hops. A little herbal and fruity-- makes me think of apricots. Just slightly bitter aftertaste. There is more of a mineral leafy taste.

Pours a murky orange with a foamy orange-white head that settles to a small cap on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, earth, citrus zest, and slight herbal hop aromas. Taste is much the same with earth and citrus zest flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a somewhat dirty aroma that isn't as noticeable in the taste.

Strong orange/copper body color with a very thick, very chunky white head; plenty of clinging foam sticking the the glass. Excellent soft pine and citrus hop aroma; musk melon. Mild grain flavor with a stronger (though not overbearing) hop bitterness. Medium body; crisp, semi-dry finish.
A bold, strong looking beer with a mild flavor profile. The rather subdued taste isn't a negative; in fact, I'd consider it a big plus as it adds some distinction compared to other pale ales that come across more like IPAs. Perhaps a tad alcohol-heavy to be considered a session ale, but very much an easy drinking, lighter feeling beer.

Pours a beigish golden with a white head. Aroma offers a touch of some graininess and herbs, citrus fruit, and some pine. Flavor seemed to follow suit. Initial sip seemed kinda meh, the subsequent sips got a bit better. A medium bodied, active mouthfeel. Nothing special. Overall, middle of the road pale ale here. Enjoyable enough to drink, but forgettable from my initial experience. Could drink again, but would I every order this again in a market filled with much better stuff? Probably not

new one from epic, I had higher hopes for this because I love epic. this is the first average beer I have had from them. pours a light copper color. there is three quarters of an inch of tan head, but its thin and it doesn't last. it smells balanced but boring. English malt gives a little sweetness and a bigger body than a normal pale. American hops give it a little bitterness, but nothing really stands out. its light to drink, but the flavors just aren't that charming on it. well carbonated, the feel is fine, but its missing something. I don't know what it is, but my hunch is the grain bill could be tweaked to make this a much more interesting and delicious pale ale, but as it stands, this is my least favorite epic beer I have had so far.
