A-Deep cloudy orange, not much carbonation, one finger head with some lacing.
S-Not much of anything, grass and some citrus.
T-Starts with some bread, citrus and grass. Ends with slight bitterness.
M-Lighter to medium bodied, not much carbonation.
O-An average APA. Could have less bread/malt and more hops to help with the balance.

Chill hazed amber colored beer with a small white colored head. Very dark amber color I can see how you could say it is red in color.
Smells malty and hoppy with a spicy scent to it something like a Cinnamon log. Pine and pine wood with some cedar plank and some eucalyptus. Grapefruit is in this but it leans toward the pine more than the citrus.
Starts out woody and a bit bitter. On the dry side with lots of woody tastes and tea. Stays dry with a medium level of bitterness. Not picking up much more than malt, wood and bitterness in this beer.
Mouthfeel is OK.
Overall a stout pale ale that tastes like a pale ale, nothing good or bad about that.

candied copper color with a nice billowing, slightly yellowish head. not a creamy-looking head, but firm with medium-sized bubbles. pine cone resin kind of aroma, hence (I assume) the name.... stickiness on the sides, with the yellow foam clinging to the glass.
hop bitterness on the front with some malt in the middle. finishes with a little sweetness. very level in the taste though.
overall, an alright brew although not my preferred style or taste. it has its place in the evening (or in the morning, as today's case would be), and holds its own.

I have had this beer before, and continue to grab another whenever I see it on the shelves.
A: cloudy light copper (shocker), mild creamy head
S: inviting malty and bitter nose, a little bit of some brown sugar notes, earthy with maybe a touch of fruit (mango or maybe a little orange)
T/M: only a little bit of malt up front, not really sweet, maybe a little like orange marmalade. The bitterness is mostly citrus, orange or lemon, but combined with some dryness from a woody/piney undertone. The final combined taste lingers on the tongue, tugging lightly in the back.
O: Even though this beer overall leans towards the bitter, there is some malt notes up front that combine well into a balanced beer where you don't get too sweet, and you don't get too bitter. This item might be tending towards IPA, so might be worth a try if you are an IPA fan who avoids "regular" pale ales.

now this is what im talking about! epic doing what they do best, a well hopped rich pale ale. as the name suggests its clear copper in color, looking like an English pale ale with a caramel hue, but smelling like a decadent American ipa, with a huge nose of high alpha hops, stick and dank, fresh, more fruity than bitter, tantalizing. the malt gives it a lot of body and a real richness. a sturdy base for what is a beautiful hopping. not sure of the varietals, but its really tasty, slight citrus, slight vegetative, mostly just sappy sweetness high in oil. its really really good, with just enough malt balance. its fuller bodied but this is the kind of beer I like to session in the fall, stick to your ribs beer. beer drinkers beer. love the aftertaste, which is still hoppy, but some of the grain flavors creep in, just a great experience all in all. I will look forward to my next one. I have seen this in the bottle for around 5 bucks a bomber. its a steal at that price.
