Notes/Commercial Description:
Brainless Belgian-Style Golden Ale is has a rich and complex malt flavor balanced with a little bit of spicy noble hops and strong influences of fermentation esters from the Belgian yeast used. Various Belgian like Rock Candies, hops and grains are employed to express variations within the style. Deceivingly drinkable, some liken theses ales to Devil sneaking up on you, so consume responsibly.

A delicate bodied Belgium strong ale of delicious golden colour with a rich and delightful flower aroma tasting of vanilla, light candied caramel, spicy hops and stronger malt, with a completely clean after-taste. Deceivingly drinkable. This an exceptional beer by any measure.

Never really would have bought this since it's just the base of their other fruit beers which were pretty lackluster. I found it for only 5 bucks discounted for an old bomber batch 35 8.4% ABV.

A - Well the first pour is always the best in this situation. No sediment and with a light pour I even got a 1/4 inch of head that fades to a light lace ring. Still flaky sediment floaties in my bright yellow orange beer.
S - Very fruity with mild hops. Apricot comes to mind. No ethanol or spice so it's indeed a Belgium golden ale.
T - It's quite good. Mildly hoppy very fruity with just a hint of dryness. Just a very sugary sweet Belgium golden ale.
M - ABV is well masked I really can't tell its over 8%. Drinks medium bodied but its over a sipper.

Overall very impressed with this beer I could see why it was aged on fruit but really to make their fruit beers more epic (get the name?) they really should have used more fruit to amp it up. I found the raspberry one was like a sugary punch rather than a beer.

Was worried this would be flat as the pour produced absolutely no foam whatsoever. The hue itself is quite nice- a light, translucent amber. Aroma was hard to catch without a head on the beer, but did pick up some apricot, which was also the main notes to the taste. Effervescent, very boozy. Pretty satisfied with this.

a yummy beer, but a far cry from a true belgian golden. this has a ton of body and density to it that makes it drink a bit heavy for the style, and the carbonation is short of the true belgian ones, not to mention the slightly generic yeast that lacks a bit of the fruity esters we love. however, with all that criticism out, this is a tasty beer all the way through. hazy darker blonde color with a short lived inch of white head. dense looking, but bubbly. the nose and taste are identical, with a grassy hop aromatic trumping the sort of belgian yeast, and a big pale and wheat malt base. long finishing, i wish this was a bit more crispy. i would consider it much more of a cold weather offering, despite its color, than a summery one, it just drinks a bit heavy, especially when the abv is considered, but a well made brew. i certainly enjoy the various reincarnations of it more than the base beer though.
