poured from a 22 oz bomber into a stella glass. Not familiar with this brewery, so I thought I would educate myself.
a- pours a murky brown/black with very little if any light getting through. nice khaki colored head rises about an inch and fades with some decent lacing
s- milk chocolate, coffee and a distinct roasted malt characteristic
t- milky chocolate sweetness that turns to a bit of toffee and coffee and finishes with rich roasted coffee and a bit of bittersweet chocolate. very nice, but subtle flavors for the style
m- very silky, milky texture. i enjoy that the carbonation is low, as it seems to be too often that these get too fizzy on the palate and dont allow the creaminess. very drinkable and smooth, although the flavors dont last a terribly long time
overall, I think this is a very nice, slightly above average oatmeal stout. I would like to try some other styles from this brewery in the future, and the bombers were very affordable, so I probably will, although this one wasnt a standout enough to be a standard purchase.

Clear brown colored ale with very slight head formation.
Smells of chocolate and coffee with vanilla and almond scent. Wheat toast with a little bit of burnt toast scent. Slight raw grain aroma.
Starts out dry and heavily roasted. Taste is mostly coffee reminds me of Italian Espresso soda. Essentially a coffee flavored beer.
Mouthfeel is average.
Overall it is OK, but I was expecting more.

Pours black with a mocha head. Aroma starts of roasty and chocolatey, a bit nutty too, then gradually introduces a little coffee and a kiss of hops to allow a touch of bitterness to the table. Flavor followed suit. Medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel. Overall, a nice solid American Stout. Aint gonna blow you away, but a nice tap offering that would be worthy of future purchases.

a really solid stout from epic here, straightforward and delicious. red glow under a very dark rich brown body and a creamy head that the nitro dispense is undoubtedly responsible for. dark but not insanely black roast on the malt, notes of bitter coffee come through. balanced bittering hops accentuate this. I also get just a hint of unsweetened bakers chocolate as I swallow, a really pleasant finish, lighter than it looks, complex, expertly put together. not quite as much body as I like in these though, and not even the nitro can cover that slightly thin feel, but the texture itself is silky and clean, a real easy drinking stout as they go. the abv is just right for cold weather, and this is a beer I will absolutely return to as winter moves in. another true to style beer from epic that really nails it.

Served in a DC Brau tulip.
A: Dark, dark, dark and then some. The head was about a 1/4 finger or so and was of a mocha color.
S: Fairly faint roasty coffee notes, but still good.
T: Nice roasty flavor on the forefront, but not much on the aftertaste. Still, this was above serviceable.
M: Creamy enough and nicely done on the mouthfeel front. Ridiculous lacing, but still slippery upon close inspection.
O: Pretty good, especially considering the $5-6 price tag.
