We took our double gold medal winning Brainless Belgian, added organic peach puree and aged it in French Chardonnay casks from Sawtooth Winery. Drink from a Pinot glass, serve on the warm side of cold, it develops nicely as it warms displaying more fruit and wine.

Pours a hazy yellow to orange-ish color with a white head. In the aroma, a small tartness and dry peach skin. In the taste, tart dry peaches and ends a bit boozy and oaky. A nice tart bite and medium bodied mouthfeel, with a dry oak, almost bourbon like in the aftertaste. Big alcohol presence, nice tart peach flavor, interesting of how close to bourbon like it was.

A--Light peach/gold colour with a medium head that fades quickly into light lacing.

S--A lot of peach at the forefront, followed by light malt and just a hint of hops.

T--Much like the nose. Good peach taste, but it could be just a little more sour for me to rate it higher. A bit of malt and a just bit of a dry bitter finish. At first I thought it tasted a lot like wine, but the more I drank, the more it reminded me of champagne.

M--Light like a white wine or champagne. Lightly carbonated. Very pleasant.

O--I'm very happy with this beer. Though I think it could have been just a bit more on the sour side. Epic's Exponential series puts out some great beer. Out of the ones I've had, I like the Imperial Red the best, then this one in second place. This would be a great beer for the early fall season.

22 oz bottle poured into a stemless white wine glass, as per brewer recommendation. Served slightly chilled. Release #40, bottle 1569 of 1800. 10.9% ABV. Brewed 9/2/13, bottled 11/27/13. Salt Lake City, Utah.

First abd foremost, this is a Belgian style beer that flirts with Delerium. Therefore, those that knock this beer for being chocked full of "chemicals" that is just natural bite of a potent Belgian and an irritional reason to hate the brew. The lack of twist that some hints of peach fail to provide hurts it some, but all in all a just barely outstanding beer.

Apperance- Light mellow orange yellowish light head akin to most similar Belgians
Taste- Powerful punch of 10% alcohol that ends up oddly smooth and has nice Belgian hoppy bite on the backend, with slight touch of peach
Smell- Delicious, has the banana aroma of Belgian with the peach fighting through and crisp yet potent makeup
Mouth- Smooth, strong then gentle

I had this at an Epic tasting about a week ago. From my notes:

APPEARANCE: Light gold, minimal head.

AROMA: Definite wine/champagne character going on. The peach shines nicely. Floral, fruity, with minimal amounts of yeasty funkiness.

TASTE: Just as expected from the nose. Sweet and tart, with peach and other fruits. Very slight maltiness. Very reminiscent of champagne.

MOUTHFEEL: Like a dry white wine. Lingering bitterness.

OVERALL: A lovely, refreshing beer that I might have to buy a full bottle (or get a full glass) of. Definitely one of the highlights of the tasting.

90/100
