Yet another very good beer by epic. Great thick foamy head. Tight bubles that last, not the quarter inch type that fade away in 30 seconds. Held to the light, its not haxy, just dark gold in appearance. Aroma is good,, if a little mild. Mouthfeel is outstanding.. carbonation has good balance. The hop selection is interesting. Some pine finishing with a hint of citrus. Not overly bitter, a tad more than i would normally like but no complaints here. I think the slight aftertaste may be from the yeast. Not bad at all just different. The belgian characteristics are mild and most evident in the yeast flavors. Very good and will buy again. This is a beer to savor and enjoy, not one for nonchalant drinking nights. Would make an interesting pairing with a sharp cheese and possibly italian pasta - i can really see this complimenting the flavors of garlic and oregano. Not as good as their spiral jetty (imho) but a fine beer that deserves a good try.

Poured from a 22oz bottle with a limited batch release number (17); into a tulip. This particular bottle indicates the ABV to be 6.7%.
Appearance - hazy dark gold with just a few carbonation trails intersecting with unfiltered floaters! Fluffy, white head that leaves sticky lacing as it slowly recedes. The final pour from the bomber, after a good swirl, yields a darker gold, almost orange with very cloudy, pulp-like sediment!
Smell - Belgian yeast, peach, mango, some pineapple. Far more Belgian characteristics than IPA in the nose.
Taste - more hops in the taste which contradicts the nose. The fruity flavors play well with the bitterness from the hops!
Feel - think hop forward Tripel; flavorful and complex, though the bitterness seems to linger oddly when I think I'd prefer a more mellow finish.
Overall - very good representation of this style and very enjoyable on a hot day!

Wow what an interesting style, I love IPAs and this union together really comes of fantastic. If you looking for something out of the norm, this shouldn't disappoint.

Appearance hazy orange

Smell is a sweet and I thought strong coriander aroma.

Taste really represents the the Belgian with the sweet fruit tones and then a citrusy burst.

Mouthfeel is so smooth and yet bitter.

Overall I will be getting some more of these to pass around the 4th of July festivities.
