Solid, friendly tavern on the north fork. Food is quite good, steaks, pasta, tasty burgers and apps. Small tap list, 6-8 if I recall correctly, only 2-3 legitimate craft options.

This place is homey and unpretentious, you can get a few
Pints of local brew and a tasty dinner at a respectable price in a warm and welcoming environment. One feels immediately comfortable in Founders'. Recommended. My dinner, for example: pints of Crooked Ladder IPA and a sausage and broccoli rabe pasta, 6 and 16 bucks, respectively. The latter was tastier than the former but that's another story altogether. Check this place out if you're in the neighborhood.

Located on the south side of Main Rd. just east of downtown Southold, this is one of very few bars on the North Fork serving up a decent craft beer selection. Bar is immediately on right upon entering. There are pub tables on the left side and the full dining area is farther to the left in a separate room. This place is very popular with the locals (the owner's brother is town supervisor), and its a friendly place with great service. On tap recently was a nice local showing of Blue Point Toasted Lager, Greenport Black Duck Porter, Fire Island Red Wagon IPA, Brooklyn Summer Ale, as well as Shock Top Belgian White and Budweiser. The bottle selection is quite nice with Brooklyn Local One and Two, Blue Point Rastafar Rye and Hoptical Illusion, Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA, Victory Prima Pils, and several other craft selections. I have not eaten here yet but the food always looks pretty good, certainly a step above typical pub fare. Definitely stop by for a pint or two if you're cruising through.
