Cask at Mugs Alehouse, Brooklyn, NY
A: The beer is clear amber in color and has no visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high beige head that died down, leaving a collar around the edge of the glass and a small patch of bubbles in the center.
S: Moderate aromas of sweet caramel malts are present in the nose along with hints of pine resin hops.
T: Like the smell, the taste is rather malty but finishes with hints of pine resin hops, the latter of which linger through the finish.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation. It seems to coat your mouth a little and there is some warming from the alcohol.
O: This beer has just enough hops in it to prevent any sweetness or stickiness. It's not that difficult to drink because no alcohol is perceptible in the taste.

This beer was available by growler, poured into a mug.
The pour was red/brown. Solid, thick head that lingered
The mouthfeel is absolutely creamy, smooth as can be, and leaving little lacing
The smell is much like any other double ipa, nothing to special here
Tasting this beer was incredible. Not only was it floral and hoppy, but the bitterness did not linger and was not overpowering.
Overall, you cannot go wrong, this beer is the real deal. If you are looking for a strong solid double ipa that is not to bitter, this one is for you. Plus the abv at 8.5% seems to be about half of that.
