New hours as of May 2011 are just Friday evening and Saturday afternoon.
Beers seem to be in a narrow flavor profile, even though they are labelled brown, lager, IPA, red, and pale ale. Thin, sharp, and hoppy. But quite drinkable. For a $7.00 growler fill, it's a deal for this area. I have never met any of the brewers but the tap girl is invariably eager to please, and the vibe is everyone talks to everyone else. No distractions like food, music, or a place to sit. It's kind of classic San Diego indoor/outdoor living.
You can see everything in the brewery, clipboards hanging on the fermenters, and the control panels. If you like to be able to wander around a working microbrewery, you'll want to visit. Easy to park on the frontage roam just across the trolley tracks, or of course take the trolley if you're staying downtown.

Only 2 of their own beers on but they brew for Coronado and New English as well. Not much of a tasting room, actually its just a small counter for the register and you're in the brewery. Parking is only on the street and the place isnt completely visible. Nice girl that served the samples and helpful. You can walk around and give yourself the tour. Luckily there are drains on the floor to dump samples as most of the beers are not something that you would want 4-5 oz of.

I happened to be browsing BeerFly and saw this place had been added recently, but there was really no information on it. Fellow ticker t0rin0 and I stopped in the day before Stone Sour Fest IV.
The place is located in the old Mission Brewery building in Downtown San Diego (literally right off the freeway, close to the airport). It was a bit hard to find, but it is in the "downstairs" area of the business park.
The brewery itself is small. In fact, the "tasting room/bar" is just right in front of the entrance and next to all the fermenters. They have several 7 and 15 barrel fermenters and a 7 barrel brewing system. In addition to brewing the 5 Points beers, they also do contract brewing for New English and Coronado Brewing.
They only had two of their own beers on tap (Alesner and Pilsner), but the woman working there said they also have an IPA, it just wasn't on tap. They had three New English beers and about four or five Coronado beers as well. The prices were good, a sampler of 5 for $4 or $4 pints.
The young woman working there was very helpful and happy to answer any of our questions and let us look around in the brewery.
The beers themselves were all pretty average, but considering the new factor for these guys, I won't hold it against them too much.
