Decided to try this place out with my buddy Mike one afternoon and was pleasantly surprised by what we found.

Q: All the grains, hops, and yeast (basically all the brewing ingredients) were properly stored and seal; couldn't ask for much more.

S: Was warmly welcomed by Eric, the store owner, when we first showed up. He showed us around the place and even offered up some of his home brew...which was quite tasty by the way. Eric went above and beyond anything I could have anticipated.

S: For how new the store is, Addison has a very large selection of brewing ingredients. Not quite as much as other local stores (ex. Steinfillers), but enough to make a good home brew. I'm sure with time and Eric's drive to have the very best for his customers....that this establishment will meet and exceed the demand.

Overall: Awesome! Cheers!

Just visited this spot for the first time today and I have to say I was impressed. The owner Eric was really helpful since it was my first time there and helped me get all my grain cracked the way I wanted it. I like the organization of the all the different malts in the self serve fashion and everything I was looking for was easy to find. Nice selection of hops and yeasts. Only negative I saw was a vial of brett that was 6 months past its prime but everything else was still pretty fresh. Pricing was pretty much on par to what I am used to paying and I didn't break the bank getting my supplies. I am definitely going to be coming back here from now on to get my supplies.

I've been shopping at Addison Homebrew Provisions for over a year now.

The owner Eric is a top notch guy and is a big part of what keeps bringing me back. It's actually surprising that it took this long for me to post a review

He might not always have what you need but he will order it for you.

It's been amazing to see the shop grow. He has a wide variety of supplies for whatever your level of brewing is.

He also hosts a monthly "club" meeting the first Monday of every month. Every month is a different topic and it's a great opportunity to get feedback on your beer. This meeting is a big part of helping me brew better beer.

He also holds 2 brew demos monthly (All Grain, Extract, Bottling, Kegging etc.)

If you brew in Orange County this should be your primary shop!

My new Homebrew shop. I'm in-between 2 Homebrew shops that are about the same distance from me. This one and O'Sheys. I prefer this one for Homebrew supplies because you can crack your own grain there (pretty cool mill built into a tv stand to collect the dust) and O'Sheys pre mills their stuff and pre packages it into 1lb and 3 lb packages which is no bueno in my books. So Addison is my shop. They pretty much have everything you need. They don't have much of the obscure stuff like Beer Beer and More Beer had when I was going there like every size rubber stopper you could think of and a couple specialty grains and some specialty parts for your kegerator and what not will not be there but they are not missing anything you need to make beer. If your a kit guy you won't find any pre packaged beer kits there but I'm sure they probably make them fresh for you if you ask and it's probably more fresh that way since you will get fresh cracked specialty grains to steep. They have most of the hops you will need. Maybe a couple of the obscure hops are missing. They have most of the yeasts too but again some of the uncommon ones won't be there. But great customer service and pricing is right there with your average shop so if your near by, this is the Homebrew shop to use. I really wish I had one closer though.

Great home brew shop. Eric (the owner) is great guy, really helpful and passionate about beer. I highly recommend this place. Its not as big as some home brew stores, but I have never not been able to find what I am looking for. They have regular meeting / classes and chances to have your beer reviewed by other home brewers. Those who know about this place love it, those who don't know about it, don't know what they are missing. Come by and check it out.

Also its good to support your local home brew stores. I'm lucky mine is a good one.

Visited a few times now including today.

The place is small and relatively new so you won't find everything you're looking for but Eric is working hard and will do everything he can to get you what you need.

Everything seems to be organized and easy to find. The one exception is the yeast. There are plenty to pick from but the fridge isn't large enough to display them all, so you sometimes have to dig for them, but they are there.

Nice place and hopefully they continue to grow. I'll be returning.

Addison is my go to LHBS. As noted by the previous reviews, Eric has gone out his way to make sure that all the ingredients are properly stored. His grain, yeast and hop selection has nearly caught up with more established local home brew stores. If they don't have something, ask Eric and he will get it for you as fast as possible.
Good selection, GREAT service. Eric goes out his way to remember you and what you are brewing. He genuinely loves the hobby. One cool thing - bring your beer in and he will taste it and tell you (quite bluntly) what he thinks, which is something I have not found at other shops.
The shop has developed a dedicated home brewing club in a short amount of time. Events happen all the time.
If you're local and plan to buy a lot, ask Eric about becoming a member. It's $25 and provides a 10% discount on most purchases.

Stopped in here today before heading home from the Fullerton area.

I had corresponded with Eric previously through emails and when I mentioned my name upon entering the store, he immediately remembered me, which was quite nice. He showed me around the store and offered me a sample of the "grand opening" brew they had done which was also quite nice.

The supplies are fairly standard for your homebrew store, but he's still just getting the store up and running and looking for requests, so that's there's not anything too crazy.

All your usual grains and two grain mills for use, which is nice. Plenty of different yeasts and hops to peruse as well. Eric was also more than willing to order (or stock) anything that customers would like to see in the store.

I can't wait to see this store develop and it's nice to have a homebrew shop closer to home.
