Had it on tap in Dublin

A: Light straw colour. Nice inch head, creamy. Clear with no particles. Carb is lively

S: A nice floral scent

T: Dry on the palate throughout, none to low malt flavour, bitterness is nice and crisp

M: Carb is refreshing and crisp. Cuts right in and fits with nice meaty diner.

O: very impressed with this beer. The foral nose is refreshing and makes you want more. Crisp finish is also very appealing.

Served on draught into a pint glass.

A: A one finger head of fair cream and thickness. Gold-blonde colour. Clear.

Sm: Very hoppy. Some bittering hops. The "floral aroma" their little booklets claim is present is most certainly not. Malt.

T: The notes on the nose are indistinct and blended together like the sound channels on a top 40 rock band record. Built decently but with a wretched metallic undertone that seems to plague almost every beer at this pub.

Mf: Too coarse and sharp. Decent wetness.

Dr: Very well priced for Dublin, but nothing special. That metallic undertone is particularly hideous, ruining an otherwise good beer.

Tried this great old school brewpub out while on vacation Apr 2-20/09 and reviewed off of short notes taken at the time.

A- Poured a rich golden color, with a thick creamy head that fizzled down to a thin film. There was also some nice sticky lacing that clinged to the glass well. The carbonation was fine from the look.

S- My first impressions were of butterscotch aromas, along with sweet malts, but unfortunately the hopped bitterness was fairly weak. A really different smelling Pils.

T- Good clean flavors that I was expecting. There were also sweet malts flavors on the front of the palate and a modest hop bitterness on the finish. There weren't any real lingering flavors, which is what really made gave this a great refreshing taste!

M- The mild carbonation really kept this beer refreshing....the body was more on the light side, but this was to be expected and kept to the style decently.

D- I would really enjoy drinking this all night, on any given night....it really had a great micro-brewed individuality to it. Overall a really nice, easy drinking Pilsner that I think anybody trying it would enjoy!

On cask

Pours with a yellowy body with amber hues. White bubbly head with fair retention

Smell, fresh grassy euro hops, some floral hints, some noticable malt presence

Taste, crisp hop character maybe hallertau, some sweetness, little bit of dry hop bitterness on the finish

A tasty and very drinkable lager, would be a good session beer
