Lightly weathered copper orange in color with a touch of haze. Poured with a short white foam that quickly reduced to a light wispy cap. The aroma is very interesting and evolves as this warmed. Earthy, ripe , candied pineapple, with caramel malt at first. Musty, syrupy sweet, over-ripe tropical aromas follow with candied orange and light boozy notes at the end. More time was spent smelling this than tasting it. On the heavier side of medium bodied with a slightly viscous, yes resinous feel and tangy carbonation on the edges. Ripe, subdued tropical flavors up front with sweet caramel malt beneath. Tangy herbal flavor through the middle that transitioned to light pine hop and boozy notes. Finished dryly with lingering musty tropical and pine hop bitterness.

A - Amber body with dense off-white head. Nice retention and a lot of nice lacing.
S - Very fragrant, big citrus hops and some sweet malt tanginess.
T - Nice citrus hops, somewhat piney. Malts are incredibly earthy and create a very fresh and clean flavor. Alcohol is well masked.
M - Medium/light body with moderate carbonation. Thin, somewhat watery, but extremely drinkable.
O - What a nice surprise this beer is. The goofy marketing from Clown Shoes turns me off and set my expectations much lower. But this is a great IPA; very drinkable. Sometimes thinner bodied IPAs come off like soda, but with finer carbonation, this beer doesn't have that problem. I'll definitely be picking this up again and trying the other Clown Shoes brews.
