Bomber into a pint glass. Bottled last week of January 2011.
A: Big, airy white head atop a hazy, vaguely orange gold body rife with effervescence. Perhaps a touch dark for the style, but still lovely.
S: Wheat, slightly grassy hops, and abundant sweet/bitter orange. Perhaps a bit more coriander would be nice, but this is probably a bit old for that, sadly. Still, great nose.
T: Very much like its namesake clementine--sweet, citrusy, and a touch bitter up front, with some light bready wheat and yeast and a bit of hops in the end. There's some coriander in the middle as well, which I couldn't find in the nose. Well executed.
M: Solid carbonation means this trips sprightly along the tongue. I might even call it overcarbonated. Otherwise, the body is just right for the style--just a bit thick, but not enough to weigh you down on a hot day.
O: Very well executed beer overall. Orange pairs well with this style, and if you're going to add fruit/essence, you might as well do it successfully. This beer achieves that. Quite good.

330ml bottle with best before date of march 2014.
A- pours a yellowish brown hazy, with a thick soapy white head about 2cm thick. The head keeps on and on.
S- sweet candi sugar, strong herbal whiff with some wheat in there. Faint mango aroma too.
T- yeasty, earthy taste with nice orange and lemon zest which isn't too strong. Wheat backdrop typical of a wit beer, but I can't really pick up the advertised coriander. Nice hoppy bitterness is noticeable throughout.
M- light to medium body, soapy texture, sharp finish and high carbonation.
O- good solid representation of the style. More bitter and less watery than a hoegaarden, this is worth a go. But drink it in summer, not in winter like me.
