A: Poured from the bomber into a Duvel tulip. Body is hazy orange with a 1-finger off-white head.
S: Pleasant, but not overly strong: citrus and tropical fruit with a touch of yeasty esters - bubblegum and a touch of ripe bananas.
T: This is how a Belgian IPA should taste - there's bready malt, Belgian yeast characteristics and then a nice hoppy finish. Plus a nice fizzy mouthfeel. . . . Bready, even biscuity malt foundation. Banana and clove-like yeast. Finishes with ripe fruit - apricot and a good citrus bitterness, which lingers on the palate into the aftertaste.
M: Nice creamy/fizzy feel, call it medium in heft.
O: A real nice beer. Tempted to give it a "5" overall, but it's not quite there.
