$6.50 bomber from Abe's.
Crystal clear copper topped by five fingers of level but bubbly off-white froth. Highly stretched lacing.
Aroma mixes grapefruit, apricot, and pine, but seems to fade in and out. Took a deep sniff and it's like the entire aroma is in my nose and there is now a void in the glass. So it's pleasant and inviting, but not intense enough.
Light caramel splash to begin. A quick dash of juicy fruit. Building bitterness. Only the bitterness makes it to the afterglow. Little alcohol belly burn.
Mouthfeel wimpy for a beer this size, nothing to chew on.
Nothing really wrong, but nothing special either. Clown Shoes has cool labels and names, but this makes three out of four beers unimpressive for me, and in my favorite styles. At bomber prices I'm passing on the rest.

Better than average appearance, almost a full inch of dense head. Somewhere between yellow and orange appearance. Aroma lacked hops. Grainy and that's about all folks.
Totally lacking hop flavor taste. Same with mouthfeel. Bitter and malty. Caramel prominent because not much else besides the bitterness is.
In serious danger of failing, but I gave him a D+ for the ol' college try.

Color- dark honey. Medium head.
Aroma- maple syrup, oatmeal, topaz hops.
Taste- Starts sweet and syrupy then finishes with a dank lingering hoppiness. Maybe this was not a fresh bottle? Just a disappointing brew in a very crowded market.
Poured from 650 ml bomber into a Liefmans Goudenband glass (my preferred all purpose beer tasting glass). Tasted December 2012.
