A: Orangeish/Amber. Good clarity. Persistent white head with good lacing.
S: Piney hops, a little orange, little to no malt or yeast.
T: Pine, hops, alcohol is relatively mild for the abv. Hops overpower the malt IMO. Not unusual for the style, but the great ones have great balance. This doesn't. Its still better than most, but with some of Clown Shoes other offerings I think I set the bar too high.
M: Medium body, smooth. This one has been in the glass for awhile but its actually one of the nicer aspects of the beer.
Overall, a pretty decent beer but not outstanding.

Better than average appearance, almost a full inch of dense head. Somewhere between yellow and orange appearance. Aroma lacked hops. Grainy and that's about all folks.
Totally lacking hop flavor taste. Same with mouthfeel. Bitter and malty. Caramel prominent because not much else besides the bitterness is.
In serious danger of failing, but I gave him a D+ for the ol' college try.

Color- dark honey. Medium head.
Aroma- maple syrup, oatmeal, topaz hops.
Taste- Starts sweet and syrupy then finishes with a dank lingering hoppiness. Maybe this was not a fresh bottle? Just a disappointing brew in a very crowded market.
Poured from 650 ml bomber into a Liefmans Goudenband glass (my preferred all purpose beer tasting glass). Tasted December 2012.
