bottle was purchased sometime last year

A: poured into a snifter to a deep black with a one finger tan head that is slow to fade and leaves good lacing
S: smells of bittersweet chocolate, coffee, roasted malt and a little smoke
T: taste is chocolate, coffee, roasted malt and just a hint of smoke. swallow is roasted malt, chocolate and more smoke with a little coffee
M: this beer is on the heavy side with a smooth and silky mouthfeel. carbonation is there but is very subdued while the finish is just slightly on the drying side
O: This is a fantastic beer with great flavors and a killer mouthfeel. This one nails it in the American Imperial Stout category.

650ml bomber poured into tulip 11/7/14

A black liquid with a thumbnails width of cola edge, some wide legs and color left behind on the glass, two fingers of mocha foam its around for a few sips leaving a pair of partial rings

S lots of bakers chocolate, charred wood and smoke, not quite peat but smoke has some earth too it, a little meaty, some chocolate covered raisins and cherry, a little fudge

T dark roasted coffees added to the mix, still smokey with heaps of dark chocolate, some licorice, typical dark roast but the smoke plays a part and plays it well

M rich and thick, the bubbles soften it up a bit, oily on the palate, well concealed booze, sticky on the lips, chocolate syrup and smoke linger for ages

O no complaints from this guy, lots of rich dark chocolate, smokes there but not over the top, well concealed booze, I'm digging it

Not cheap at 13$ a bomber but I don't feel ripped off, yet another welcome addition to the shelves in Alberta, let the good times roll!!

Bomber into pint glass

A- dark as the night that spawns the undead. Thin tan head.
S- Roasted coffee beans, dark chocolate
T - rich, roasted malt start...sweet coco finish
M - medium... Could be a bit thicker, but i like me thick
O- Nice stout for the price. Rich and malty... I could swear coco nibs were involved

Bomber > Tulip

A - Motor oil black with a finger and a half of tan foamy head, thick lacing
S - Smoke, big massive roasted chocolate, coffee, malt, slight vanilla, black cherry.
T - Milk, whipped cream almost, then some tart cherry, fig, vanilla, coffee grounds, burnt chocolate sauce, roasted malt, light smoke, and definitely booze.
M - Boozy, a decent amount of burn, also thick and chewy.
O - Good Imperial Stout, but the booze can be a bit much, its rather complex too, has a lot to offer.
