A- Poured into a tulip glass. Pours a dark black color with light tan head.
S- The aroma is dark roasted malts, chocolate, chiles, cinnamon and vanilla. It is rare that I can smell every single ingredient in a beer with so many different things in it, but each individual ingredient really does stand out. That is impressive!
T- The taste is dark roasted malts up front with some chocolate flavors. The cinnamon and ancho chiles leave a faint but lingering spiciness on the tongue. The finish also has some warmth from the alcohol as well.
M- The mouthfeel is medium bodied with a good amount of carbonation.
O- Overall, this was an enjoyable brew that gets extra points in my book for being so unique. The flavors of the ingredients come together almost magically at times. Highly recommended!
