Some pimps walk. Some pimps strut. Some pimps run from the law. This pimp, a blend of Pimp and Knob Creek bourbon barrel aged Blaecorn Unidragon, rides between giant wings as they flap through a fiery night sky.

Bottled on 5/2012. Roasted malts, vanilla, dark fruits, figs, cherry skin and oak. Earthy and smooth. Light bodied. This held up incredibly well. Solid brew.

Appearance: Straight black on the initial pour. Some dark brown creeps around the edges when held to direct light. Head is a slightly dark khaki. Small cap drops to a few wisps almost instantly. Small creamy collar with a small dense bubble structure. Faint wisps of lacing. Minimal carbonation on the pour.
Smell: The pour releases a ton of bourbon. Big push of vanilla and caramel thanks to the barrel. Faint woody hints. Sweet both from malt and bourbon. Brown bread. Sweet fruits. Grapes, cherry, plum, fig, a ton of dark fruit. Some deeply roasted malts. Touches of cocoa and dark chocolate. Vanilla. A touch of roasted marshmallow. Booze. Loaded with raisins. A touch of backing nuttiness. Some caramelized malt.
Taste: Peated malt. Smoky and deeply roasted. Some char. Grassy elements. Pronounced nuttiness. Burnt wood. Vague notions of plum and fig. Loaded with raisin. So much raisin. The bourbon is still present after 2.5 years. Notes of vanilla, caramel, a touch of toasted marshmallow. Some toasted brown bread. Some caramelized malt sweetness. Some toffee and a vague butterscotch. Leafy, woody, something like fir. Flashes flavor and then it disappears.
Mouthfeel: Mediumish body with a moderate carbonation. Clean, surprisingly so. Mild effervescence.
Overall: Leaving my purple suit in the closet.
It was abrasively hot when it was fresh. It's mellowed a lot. It's a raisin soaked in bourbon slathered on brown bread. That's not as fun as it sounds.

22oz. bottle poured into a snifter. Thanks for sharing Matt!
(A)- Pours a pitch black color. Produced a decent tan head with some retention.
(S)- A raisin forward nuttiness meets a subtle roasted body.
(T)- Very similar to the smell. Plenty of raisin with a nutty character amidst an underlying subtle roastedness. Slightest twinge of a hoppy citrus note.
(M)- A good carbonation level. Its an interesting mouthfeel with classic brown ale and stout characteristics. Bitter and hoppy with a leveled sweetness.
(O)- It is definitely interesting. It really reminds me of a hoppy stout and a brown ale mixed together.

M- medium body and carbonation. A little thin with some effervescence.
O- pretty tasty beer, nothing that wows you but has some chocolate, sweetness and whiskey notes.
