22oz bottle from Hop City (Atlanta, GA). 12.99. Bottled 10/11/12. Served in a Terrapin snifter.
Pours black with one finger creamed mocha head. Small spots of lace.
Interesting aromas of vanilla, bacon, smoke and cocoa. Different for sure.
Taste is a blend of bourbony vanilla, chocolate and meaty smoke followed by caramel, leather, tobacco, figs and booze. A bit hot but not more than expected for 12.5%.
Medium thick oily feel with moderate carbonation. Long sweet bourbon finish.
A truly different take on the original Blaecorn Unidragon. I'd still like to try the unaltered base recipe barrel aged but this was quite good. Sweet and smokey, this is another great stout from Clown Shoes that is worth a try.
