Poured into a large snifter glass. Pours dark brown to black with a thick tan head that recedes slowly, leaving some lacing on the side of the glass. Bourbon and vanilla hit the nose up front with chocolate, roasted malt, and chile peppers. The flavors follow the nose. There is some sweetness there and the alcohol can be tasted here. The flavor notes blend pretty well together. The chile peppers don't get hot in this beer because they blend so well with the malt backbone of this beer along with the chocolate and vanilla notes. It's actually quite tasty. The body is medium to full with moderate carbonation. The aftertaste is is very pleasant. This beer is pretty easy drinking despite the 11% ABV. This is an excellent beer.
