Not writing a full review, just reminding myself to pick up a few bottles of this to keep around.
Gorgeous red, overly bitter for style, reminds me more of a IIPA, and a bit sharp/young in alcohol. Completely drinkable and delicious as is.
I see this aging well.

On tap at Knuckleheads
Pours a reddish brown with a solid off white head. Comes off a little hot and has a strong American bitterness that is not that pleasant at the moment. I'm not sure why I can stop myself from ordering barley wines on tap, but more often than not I get disappointed compared with a bottle that has a little time on its side. Overall it will probably mellow out to be better than what I gave it but right now the alcohol heat and that sharp bitterness keep me negative on it for now.
