Meh...old school kinda place...feels kinda dated..you will be able to drink plenty of whorthwhile beer here and get a decent meal, but with so many more interesting spots located in town, this does not seem like a place I would go back to...unless you are pinched for time and you are close by ... better to do some exploring

Visited multiple times.
Located in a strip mall east of I-205 about a mile from Clackamas Town Center, this is one of the smaller outposts in the McMenamin chain, hence the relatively low atmosphere score. The food is the same as everyplace else, but well made, good burgers and fries. Service is OK, but they seem pretty bored. Quite frankly I don't go here anymore, the closest I come is to grab Baja Fresh a couple of doors down. While I'm not a big fan of Ram, I find myself frequenting there now instead of this place. If you are looking for a Hammerhead this makes sense, but the lack of atmosphere (especially in comparison with the Oregon City location, which has the best view of any McMenamin's IMHO), not worth the time for craft beer afficionados.

Located just off of I-205 in a smallish strip mall, McM Sunnyside is your prototypical McM strip mall pub (what a surprise). The place is fairly small, with 4 or 5 booths on the left and right, another 4 or 5 tables in the middle section of the room, and then some seats at a small bar area in the back by the kitchen. There is the usual McM artwork adorning the walls, and the place has the typical relaxed, informal McM pub vibe to it. The beer selection consisted of 5 or 6 offerings (Ruby, Hammerhead, IPA, black rabbit porter, terminator), as well as the Nebraska Bitter as a special (which promptly blew when we walked in the door). As always, beer quality was decent, though nothing to get overly excited about either. Service was pretty good. It took a while initially to get service (we ended up having to seat ourselves after waiting for 5 or 10 minutes by a sign that indicated one needed to wait for table service), but after that our waiter was friendly and efficient. Food was pretty good and a bit better than the McM norm I thought. The cheese and spinach dip appetizer was pretty standard, but we both ended up getting the Canuck salad (a special that night) and it turned out to be very fresh and tasty.
Two small beers, a glass of wine, the two salads and the appetizer came to around $38 or $39 before tip. For what we got, I thought that was pretty reasonable.
This is certainly no BA destination, but is a place to stop in for some decent food and beer if one happens to be stuck in one of the hotels around this part of town. Otherwise, I can't imagine any reason to ever come back here.
