12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 3/20/2013. Pours fairly crystal clear deep golden color with a 3 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Dense foamy lacing clings around the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of lemon, apricot, pear, apple, white grape, pepper, clove, wheat, cracker, bread, light honey, herbal, grass, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, apricot, pear, apple, white grape, pepper, clove, wheat, cracker, bread, light honey, herbal, grass, and herbal/yeast earthiness. Good amount of earthy yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, apricot, pear, apple, white grape, pepper, clove, wheat, cracker, bread, light honey, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a short bit. Very nice balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop flavors; with a crisp malt/yeast balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. High carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly prickly mouthfeel that is nice. Fairly dry on the finish as well. Alcohol is well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is a very good Belgian pale ale. All around good complexity, balance, and robustness of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

12 ounce bottle poured into tulip glass.

This beer is a pale gold as it name might suggest. The nose is kind of bready with apple and yeast notes. Taste is better than I expected. I even detected some citrus notes. Mouthfeel is about average. Not bad. I'm not a fan of Belgians, but I enjoyed this one.

Served from tap into a shaker. Poured a golden pale yellow with a one finger white head that subsided to a minimal amount slowly. Maintained excellent lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, sugar, fruit, banana, and dark fruit. The flavor was of sweet malt, banana, earth, fruit, banana runts, and sugar. It had a light feel on the palate with high carbonation. Overall this was a fairly decent brew. There was a lot going on in this one, but the majority of it was a big sweet aspect. This was a little off-putting if I am honest. The banana runts was a nice touch, but definitely out of place in my opinion for this brew. Worth trying if you like sweeter brews, but if not, I wouldn’t waste your time doing so.
