Bottled may 06
Pours Jet Black with a 1 finger deep mocha head. A little lacing & head retention
S: Big coffee notes, then chocalate
T: Coffee notes then chocalate & dryness. Roasted malt & a slight nuttyness. Finishes dry with coffee & choclate notes
MF: Medium bodied, some oilyness with okay carbonation & balance
Drinks alright, not a huge fan of coffee stouts & this is about middle of the pack

On tap at L&M Lanes in Rochester, NY.
Pours a dark brown, almost black, with a quarter inch head, and not much lacing.
Smells and tastes basically the same- like roasted coffee beans, vanilla, and chocolate. For an espresso stout, the coffee aspect to this is relatively light, unfortunately. None of the flavors particularly jump out of the glass, it just goes down with really any second thought.
Medium bodied, smooth, silky mouthfeel. Low carbonation.
A bit uninteresting, this brewery hasn't exactly impressed me yet.
