Aroma is roasted malts, coffee and a small hint of fruit. The flavor is roasted malts, a creamy texture, mild/medium sweetness and a mixture of tart and bitter in the finish.

Poured into a shaker pint glass.
Look: Dirty oil black. Dark mocha colored head that barely forms, dissipates to a wisp. Little or no lacing.
Aroma: Faint cocoa powder, marshmallow sweetness.
Taste: The beer has a good lactose and sugary kick at first. The dark chocolate and cocoa powder notes fill out the taste profile. Faint smokiness in the finish.
Mouthfeel: Thick and creamy. Good weight for the style.
Overall: I wanted to like this but it just didn't do anything worth remembering.

I picked this up in the crate of ales mix case, enjoyed chilled in a willybecker chilled shared with tenderbranson69.
The color is very dark brown, opaque with 1/2 a glass full of foam even when poured gently. The lace sticks and bead is fine. The smell has a sweetened coffee aroma, light caramel and roasted malt scent. The feel is very good, nice mix of roasted textures with mild sweetness medium carbonation and semi-dry finish with low bitterness.
The taste is good with nice malt flavor which is toasted and has a roasted grain flavor with slight coffee and mild caramel with a slight yeast creaminess in the taste with some light hop notes which are woody but mild with a mostly dry finish and low alcohol in the taste. Overall this is decent example of the style, pretty drinkable for what it is but not exceptional. I would drink this again if offered but it is just above average overall.

Pours seal brown with ruby highlights and a minimal mocha head. Aroma is a pleasant blend of chocolate, lactose, and a hint of coffee. An acrid coffee bitterness comes through strong on the front end. Roasted malt character dominates before finally ceding to subdued dark chocolate in the finish. Lactose, which was so prominent in the nose, manages to manifest somewhat as the beer warms. Hop character melds with the bitter roast rather than assert itself individually.
This is a drinkable stout, but the dominant roasted bitterness leaves it too unbalanced for my liking.

12oz twist off. Almost black pour, just a ring of cream head.
Aroma, nice roast malt and cocoa. Light lactose, chocolate milk.
Taste, chocolate and heavily creamed coffee. Some earthy and nutty notes. Pretty dry roast finish.
Barely mid bodied, a tad thin. Carbonation is a tad high. Still, drinks pretty easily.
A good brew.
