Pours a murky light orange-brown with a foamy beige head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Small particles of sediment are seen floating around in the beer after the pour. Smell is of wheat, grain, raspberry, and raspberry juice aromas. Taste is much the same with grain and raspberry flavors on the finish. There is a very mild amount of earth bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an above average beer that is drinkable, but the raspberry aspects seem a bit artificial in my opinion.

Serving type: bottle.

A - Looks good not bright red juice color like Founders version just a regular yellow orange color beer with little to no head. Some haziness.
S - Actually quite good not medicinal or artificial in any way. Not super tart though it had a sort of candy like sweetness to the smell. Little wheat.
T - Not too tart or sweet has a distinct wheat character and some fruit berries which may have been raspberries.
M - Light bodied and easy to quaff back.

Overall it was decent enough to maybe get more but I would much rather have better fruit beers.

Poured into a shaker pint glass.

The beer is a hazy golden color with a white fizzy head that recedes rapidly leaving a fine film. Light watery lacing remains on the glass. The aroma is sweet cereal grains and tart raspberry. The beer tastes very watery but a good amount of raspberry flavor comes through. The mouthfeel is watery but bright.

Overall, this beer tastes exactly like a raspberry wheat beer would, but it's so one-dimensional that it is somewhat boring.

I purchased this in a the mixed case at Westy's in Camp Hill, poured chilled in a pint.

The color is hazed golden with some suspended floating matter, very thick white sudsy cap which is appropriate of the style. The bead is fine and lace clings in a sheet. The smell is both sweet and floral with a mild berry aroma with slight toasted wheat apparent in the nose. The feel is good with moderately high carbonation and light bitterness with a mild fruity tang not overly sweet or sticky like you would expect of a fruit extract wheat and if finishes dry with a slight creamy texture mid palate.

The flavor is not bad, I am not saying it screams 'Raspberry' or anything but it has a genuine flavor of tart red berries mixed with an american style wheat quality which is mostly clean yeast with a toasted taste but almost creamy with wheat cereal qualities, it is pretty much what you see is what you get, ordinary and inoffensive - not bad but pretty forgettable unless you love wheat raspberry combination in beer.

A: Bright orange with rapid bursts of macro-bubbles. Good clarity, spongey textured surface, light beige head is quick to dissipate. Rather ordinary visual.

S: Soft raspberry tartness, ever so slight, very reserved in character.

T: Flavor is crisp malt sweetness at the start with a soft wheat palate ending with a soft raspberry tartness

M: Sharp crispness here, slightly sticky malt presence, with an easy smooth and slickness off the tongue with a passing raspberry tartness:

O: Overall fairly clean and crisp, one does not expect much per style here, this is a cleanly brewed example, much props to that, but the flavor, visual and excitement factor falls short here of worthy status. Balance was nice, do not expect much here, expect a lightly flavored tart fruit beer that is mildly entertaining that wont tempt high expectations for seconds, but is certainly drinkable enough for that hot spell when keeping things light and crisp.
