This was on tap at Barrington. This was served in a pint glass. The appearance was a hazy burnt orange to ruddy yellow color. Light carbonation rose to feed a quickly dissipating bar pour’s kind of head. The smell had a decent sweet biscuity maltiness and a slight underscore of spice. The taste was mainly malty taking the biscuity quality to town as the aftertaste was quite malty. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. There’s a smooth creaminess that rolled over my tongue. Overall, pretty nice EIPA that I could come back to.

More malty than I like my IPAs, but very good overall. The ABV is listed as 5.7% on the board in the bar (I noticed it is missing above). That is a bit lower than I prefer for an IPA, but for most it is just fine. I'd definitely recommend this beer for anyone in the area or passing through and am glad I had the opportunity to try it!

Bottle from Nejaime’s wine cellar in Lenox MA.
Pours a fairly clear deep copper color with a huge off white head that quickly dissipates into lots of lace. The nose holds lots of malty caramel and toffee with huge English earthy sulfur mineral water aroma to it. The flavor is rich and malty with a fair amount of toffee and caramel coming through. A solid earthy hop flavor poke through, but this is either an old bottle or a poor example of an IPA . Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet slick mouthfeel. Decent beer but feels more like an English bitter. My bottle is notched for Oct, but I don't know what year.
