Arrives so dark brown you might as well call it black. Small tan head drops rather quickly but leaves scattered lacing. Just a hint of light penetrating the slimmest edges.
Smell is roasted malt, sweet caramel and brown sugar, chocolate and a hint of nut. Good balance.
Taste is toasted malts, semisweet chocolate, caramel, brown sugar and nut with a note of sweetness. Great balance. A little molasses in the aftertaste.
Medium plus body, light effervescence. Warming and lightly drying. Delicious. Truly one of the best porters I've ever had. And to think it is actually a blend of their Pistolville porter and Rocking Rabbit red ale. It is greater than the sum of its parts.

Something terrible went wrong here! This is NOT a Porter. I do not know what it is but it smelled of vinegar and tasted like mash. 0.6
