This is a really cool place. Hip, urban contemporary, super cool decor, and a fantastic patio. The location is very nice too. Located on Fairmount on a tree-lined street with plenty of shade.

The quality of the finish outs, patio, inside decor, food, beer, and cocktails is all top notch. I don't really have any complaints, but it's hard issuing a perfect score to anything for me.

Service was pretty good. A little bit slow at times, but fairly friendly and given the age of the place (brand new) they were somewhat educated on beer as well which is good to see.

Selection pretty awesome really, especially for a new place. While they don't have 100 taps, they're not trying to be that kind of place and they shouldn't be. A wide range of things across many styles, I was impressed to see a couple of beers I haven't seen anywhere else in town on tap.

Food was really very good. I thought the portions were a bit small for the money, but that's the new thing. Small plates, high quality, with a lower price tag than a fine dining place but most of the quality.

Overall a really great establishment that I'll be back to!

The only thing holding this place back is the unremarkable food (but typical for a pub) and the average service. Otherwise, at least last night, the beer selection was very impressive. Parabola was served as part of their 3rd anniversary celebration, but as if that wasn't enough, Victory at Sea was on tap along with a nitro bourbon barrel aged sweet stout from a local, Lakewood Brewing. Several other offerings I've had before on tap, but most of them bigger beers at 8% and up. Service was ok, but the bartenders were not terribly chatty and were slow at times to notice my empty glass. A little on the hipster side too. Still, a solid option and perhaps the best one yet that I've experienced in my many visits to Dallas.

You can not beat the selection of tapped beers. 25 beers on tap. Food is good quality. Very good atmosphere. For a traveler looking for a good craft beer establishment, this was right on. Found Common Table by searching BA. There was a Firestone brewery TX debut here while I was in town, couldn't attend, but they tapped Abacus and Double Jack. Can't beat that. I had a 2010 Big Foot Ale, which was great and smoothly aged. If you're looking for great craft beer establishment, this can not be beat. One thing more, use the valet parking.

went here twice during a trip to Dallas. once for their Monday beer dinner and another time just ordered off the menu.

The beer selection is very strong and varied. great local representation and respectable imported and national offerings. The food is absolutely fantastic and isn't horribly priced for the quality and atmosphere.

The service was horribly lacking though. first time, when we asked the server if they could call us a cab we were told to do it ourselves. when we told them were from out of town and asked the phone number they said, "don't you have an iPhone?". the second time, we did the four course beer dinner and it was all brought out in under 45 minutes. courses we being brought out before we had even finished the one in front of us.

so great food and beer. horrible service.

I agree with the previous post, this place should be in the high 90's. The Common Table may only have 20+ taps but they are always pouring an awesome selection of beers. Id rather drink here than any other bar in DFW! I used to frequent the Flying Saucer but the past year and a half i find myself visiting TCT more and more. The bartenders are always quick and friendly, and the food is amazing. Prices are very reasonable, especially on "Brewsday Tuesdays". This is a must stop for anyone visiting Dallas looking for great beer and an awesome atmosphere!!!

For the life of me I don't know why this place is rated an 86. In my opinion it's closer to a 186. I've spent 1/3rd of my life drinking some of the best beers on earth, working for maybe the best and getting paid to drink some mighty fine ones. The beer experience at The Common Table is unsurpassed. I've never found a place in N. America that consistently exceeds all my expectations - be it the Green Dragon or Horsebrass in Portland or the Tornado in SF (appologies to Jim, Don and Dave). The Table ALWAYS has something I've never heard of and that totally blows me away. Tuesday Oct. 23 they will dedicate their taps to 2012 GABF medal winners and their bar to the brewers that brew them. I can't think of a better reason to drive 200 miles for a beer unless it's to drive 1,600 for a Marble. Cheers and condolences to you who cannot make it to the Table Tuesday or at least once in your life.
