Appearance: Arrives the color of coffee with a thin cap; a few strands hang around
Smell: Chocolate, caramel, licorice, menthol and pine
Taste: Milk chocolate forward, with the caramel and pine flavors building; the licorice tones arrive, after the swallow, along with the hint of menthol that builds into the aftertaste
Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with moderate carbonation
Overall: An odd finish and this doesn’t have much of the sweet character typical of the style; needs more lactose and less hops

Pours a typical inky dark like so many other Milk Stouts. Smells of sweet chocolate, with tastes of the same and some toasty coffee notes. The feel is semi-thick and smooth. Overall, a very drinkable brew, and probably something that would age well.

Black body, one finger brown head, good retention, bits of lacing. Both the aroma and flavour is rich lactose, heavy roast, espresso, milk chocolate. It's a standard milk stout, for the most part, solid medium body, creamy with the lactose-aided mouthfeel. Heavy roast.

Poured a black color with a slightly viscous body. Light tan head with pouring. Aromas were of malted milk and chocolate. The flavors were the same asa the aromas. Sweet malted milk though out with notes of milk chocolate. The sweetness lingers around with no hint of bitterness. Not a lot of depth but the flavors were still tasty regardless. Mouthfeel medium bodied and creamy. An excellent milk stout. It's not something that stands out compared to other milk stouts but there were no flaws, just easy drinkability. However there were no date on the bottle. It was bottled in Pembine when the actual brewery relocated - so I highly doubt it's fresh.

22oz bottle, no date. Pours black with a smaller sized khaki head; some lacing. Smells of roasted malt, earthy hops, and sweet lactose; below average intensity. The taste follows with roasted malt, earthy hops, cocoa, and some lactose. Subtle sweetness and mild, lingering bitterness. Average body and carbonation for the style. Overall, the flavors are a little too one-dimensional and it needs more lactose.

Very good milk stout, from probably my favorite Wisconsin Brewery. Poured into a pint glass from a 22oz bomber.
Appearance: very dark, quite black with a lighter tan head. Lacked a bit of head.
Smell: sweet smelling. Caramel aroma very noticeable.
Taste: No overpowering flavor. Nice subtle blend of chocolate malts and the caramel. A bit too much alcohol for the style.
Mouthfeel: Smooth on tongue and leaves behind a rich malty taste.

Exceptional. If this brew was more in the 5% abv range it would be as good as a milk stout could possibly be. My only complaint is it was a bit boozy. Regardless, simply awesome. I love this brewery.

A higher ABV milk stout with a ton of tan, dense thick head. This is a chocolatey milk stout. Smooth as expected. Easy drinking and well done given the hug alcohol content.
