Given to me from a friend who recently visited the brewery. The website and bottle don't list any ingredients, specs, or style, so based upon my tasting, I'd have to say it falls into the English Pale Ale or ESB category.
Medium blonde, mildly carbonated, ~2.0 carbs, forming a soapy bone-white head. Beautifully clear, but unfiltered per the bottle. The aroma has a distinct English yeast bouquet...a little diacetyl, light caramel, orange marmalade, toast. Mouthfeel is VERY soft, smooth and easy to drink with a medium body. Taste is a recap of the aroma, with a nice balance between the toast, grain husk, fruitiness, and the mild herbal/earthy English bitterness. Very mild hop aroma and flavor (I'm thinking EKG), tending towards the sweeter side with some residual sugars. I wonder if this is a partigyle of one of their bigger beers? Cleanly fermented with no off-flavors. Lingering grain husk in the aftertaste.
A really nice beer. I wasn't quite sure what to expect without any information on this beer, but I'm pleasantly surprised.
