Style | ABV
American Pale Ale (APA) |  5.30% ABV

Availability: Year-round

Notes/Commercial Description:
True to the style, our pale ale is brewed with pale malt and a touch of crystal malt which gives it that copper hue. Then we aggressively hop it with centennial hops for a big citrus hop aroma and taste. Beer for the hop lover. Nice bitterness and a good long aftertaste with a smack of grapefruit.

Another from a friend's trip further into the great American Midwest...

This pale ale's color is on the darker end of the spectrum, more of a nearly bronze brown-orange. On top is a lightly orange-tinted pillow of soft cream, roughly 3/4 of a finger high, with good retention and lace.
The aroma's pretty nicely hoppy with citrus, grass and a hint of pine. Caramel malts are strong, to the point that they take just a bit away. There's also some graininess and a bit of salty brine just sneaking in.
The brine doesn't show much on the tongue. This beer starts with a nice bite of hoppiness and ends with it, too. Pine is a little stronger than it smelled, though the focus is still citrus and grass. Caramel malts ( and breads) balance better than in the aroma, adding just enough to round it out.
This is a crisp and clean brew with a firm medium body and a nice smoothness overall.

A - Cloudy copper-orange brew with a big rocky head and tons of lace. This is a really nice looking beer.

S - Musky, dank, herbal, like a grapefruit gone over to the point of almost rotten (but in a good way).

T - Well balanced bready malt and almost marijuana-like flavors with s spritz of orange citrus.

M - Medium-full bodied. Muscular. Finishes slightly tangy with a long-lasting citrus aftertaste.

0 - Good beer. Interesting and somewhat unique. Not just another pale ale that tastes exactly like the rest.

Pours a hazy light Orange, with a 6!?!?! Finger head.

Smell is tart, tart, mettalic, herbal, spicy tartness

Taste is tart and awful, metal, medicine, spicy awfullness.... if this isn't infected then this brewery should stop making beer....

Mouthfeel is fine.

Well I have never had an infected APA before.... will not buy again.

Edit...

Had this rated a little higher but lowered it due to the lack of response from the brewery after my several attempts to contact them and even talking to people there... If you do not care about the fact that someone bought a infected 4 pack enough to call them or email them back them maybe you should not be in the brewery business... Have had a few different infected beers, while some responses to time all have eventually contacted me.
