Poured from a brown 12 oz. bottle. Has a brown/orange color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of pumpkin, some spice. Taste is smooth and balanced, not to much spice, some pumpkin, malts, very easy drinking, alcohol is well hidden. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a pretty good beer.

This was one of many bottles dropped off for me by my local, in-person trader, tone77. I had to await its picture getting approved before I would pop the cap, but now here we are. Happy Hallowe'en in July!

From the bottle: "A terrifyingly delicious concoction of pumpkin and spices with just a hint of sweetness. It's a Graveyard Smash!"; "13 I.B.U."; "6.66% Alc by Vol". Ha!

It did not seem to matter how fast or how slow I poured this one, I got a pseudo-cascade, but some of the quickest evaporating head that I have encountered in a while. There was a brief finger of fizzy, tawny head, but it quickly exhausted itself and became wisps. Color was a deep, coppery-amber (SRM = > 13, < 17) with NE-quality clarity. I agitated the bottle at the end of the pour and dislodged some lees, possibly spices. Speaking of which, the nose seemed muted, still spicy, but with a bready maltiness. I kind of liked that it was not as in-your-face as many pumpkin beers have been. Mouthfeel was thin-to-medium and the taste was cinnamon, certainly, with possibly allspice and/or nutmeg. It is tough to really parse all of the adjuncts in Pumpkin Ales, but this had them and not in an overwhelming way, either. Finish was semi-dry, thanks to the spices, but thanks to the mellowing of them during my unintentional aging, there was some sweetness present. It would really depend on your preferences.

Picked this up at a local shop.

Pours a beautiful copper orange color with a off white one finger head.

Smells of pumpkin spices, caramel, and sweet malts.

Taste follows the nose, with a very nice balance of spice and malts.

Mouthfeel is spot on, thick but not syrupy.

Overall, a very decent pumpkin beer. Not as malty as Schlafly, not as sweet as Pumking. Imagine if the two had a baby, but not as sweet. This is it.
