Pretty average for a pale with one difference "the hops". It's a little hoppier(bitter) than most off the shelf pale ales. It was light and kinda sweet. Definately the best of the four core brews. Being an IPA drinker this was very enjoyable. The bartender wasn't 100% sure but he believed that it's 5.2%abv.

Served from a growler purchased for around $13 at the brew pub around 4 hrs after the purchase. Temp. around 45 F.

Poured a burnt orange with minimal carbonation. Not much lacing. The smell is a little musty, but the malt does poke its head through. The hops aren't really present in the nose, save for some moderate hints of black pepper.

The taste is fairly decent. I like the twang of the bittering hops (lots are present), but the malt is a little bready. Kinda like a pale ale that has an identity crisis with trying to be an amber ale. Good, but definitely a work in progress.

This ale reminds me of some good homebrew I've tried in the past. It's definitely the best thats out there in Laughlin (the local liquor stores aren't too good for beer) and every time I've had their beers, they always surprise me with something I didn't expect. All in all, a good beer to enjoy while at the river.
