Had on tap at Corner Bar in Tacoma on 4/29/12.
Appearance: Pours an orange-light amber body that is a bit hazy. Slightly less than a finger of head receded quickly.
Smell: Lots of piney hops with slight citrus aromas. Some bready malt backing up the hops, but the hops are clearly the focus.
Taste: Piney hop flavor on the front end. Not as much of a hop bomb as I expected from the scent. Mellowed with tasty caramel and bready malt, then came on strong with that hop bitterness. Really delicious mixture of piney and citrus hops finished it off.
Mouthfeel: Medium to full bodied. A bit big for a single IPA, especially considering the abv.
Overall: Solid "big" PNW single IPA that showcases bold hop and malt characteristics.
Serving type: on-tap
