This brew pours a deep crimson with a small head that sits beautifully in the pint glass. I had been hoping to have Femme Fatale for some time and it finally came to Meford during Beer Week on tap at the Growler King. The sour is not so sour although the fermentation process with the berries gives the beer more tart and tang than it would otherwise have. It is incredibly easy to drink and has only one slightly flat note as it transitions from the front of your tongue to the back and heads on down (presumably a little over wheated). I would drink another but the excitement probably was a little over blown at the same time. Love Boneyard Beer!

On a the tasting room.

A - Served a brown with a touch of pink hue and a light tan-pink head.

S - Dark malts, raspberry, fruity.

T - Similar to the nose. More Brown ale then raspberry.

D - Good carbonation, medium body. A touch on the sweet side.

O - Nice to try. The first in my $3 flight of four.

A: Poured a light glowing pinkish color with good carbonation leaving a small white cap and bubbles

S: Light raspberry and lighter cranberry, some tartness

T: Tasted more of a traditional fruit beer versus a sour. The tartness is tame, raspberry and cranberries blend well.

M: Light body, dry, effervescent

O: Not my favorite from Boneyard

It was described as a sour brown made with fresh raspberries.

Pours a very murky red brown, low visibility, looks thick, thin slight brown head. It honestly looks unfiltered but may have to be to make the berries come through

Smell of strong raspberries, bit of tart, sweet sugar, very nice subtle sour.

Taste is a good burst or perfect ripe berries, the slight sour doesn't come off to acidic by more of a dab of sour sugar on the tongue. Malty enough that it doesn't overpower but balances, no hop presence but has a tart bitter.

Mouhfeel is a slick smooth velvet, slides over the tongue leaving only taste not sludge on the palate

Superb beer overall, a desert beer for those that don't want or need an overpowering chocolate or lactose. This is something I would want more but fear it's very limited
