Poured from a 64-oz growler into a shaker pint in high elevation Libby, Mont. Purchased the fill for 12.95 at Mainbrew in Hillsboro, Ore. Hope it held up well, but who knows?
A- One finger white creamy head with surprisingly long retention for the high ABV. Hazy brown-amber color. Light seeps through, but it is very hazy. Sticky lacing. Clearly not a carbonation problem.
S- Grapefruit, citrus, piney-hops. Thick hop oil. Warm and hides alcohol notes well.
T- For how hop-forward the aroma was, the flavor is amazingly smooth and malty. Alcohol hidden entirely. This would be a dangerous beer. Malty, honey, caramel, maybe a touch of brandy, but not much. Incredible. One of the best DIPAs I have ever tasted.
M- Thick and smooth. Honeyed feel.
O- A very, very good beer.
Serving type: growler
