Huge thanks to oregonskibum for sending this one as what was essentially an extra in our larger trade.

Beer pours a hazy orangey-gold with a nice white head and some decent lacing. It's a little darker than I expected. The aroma here is super impressive - a big tropical/citrus fruity hop aroma with a nice amount of malty sweetness backing it up. Flavor follows the nose and wow is this an impressive-tasting beer! It's got a great citrusy hop thing going on here with a nice bitter (but not too bitter) finish. The malt plays a more significant role than I usually like in my DIPAs, but it works here, bringing a nice sweetness to the table that provides and excellent base for the citrusy/bitter hops. It's a little on the boozier side for a DIPA (hey, it's 10%!), but it still drinks pretty easily. Mouthfeel is nice as well, medium-bodied and a little bit sticky. I tend to think of myself as a bit of a DIPA snob, and I doubt the quality of each new one that arises that I've never heard of, but this one absolutely lives up to the billing. I can't wait until these guys start canning and I can get this more regularly from my west-coast buddies.

One thing of note: this beer is awesome when it's nice and cold, but as it started to warm, it got boozier and more syrupy. It still was far from bad, but I would recommend not letting this one warm up too much.

Clear golden color, bright smell and a smooth hoppy taste - much less of a bite than what you’d expect from a nearly 9% DIPA. I could easily get ahead of myself with a few of these.

Pours a light copper color thumb sized off white head. Aroma is big and smooth nice malt background big citrus and pine hops hoppy and sweet. Tastes is like the nose good malt backbone sweetness but loaded with hops big resin and citrus bitterness. Mouthfeel is good little lighter then you would think for 9 % but good. Overall a good old fashioned west coast hop bomb.

A very classic west coast look to this beer, medium opaqueness. Nice 2 finger head that quickly settled.

I found the smell punguent, not bright but not dank. Tangerine, blood orange and some pine were noticed.

On tasting the first impression was very well balanced. It may be high ABV, high IBU but the alcohol and bitterness took a back seat to the flavors, malt, tart fruit and pine. The bitterness lasts throughout but is never dominating. In some ways the balance hurts the flavor as none shine particularly bright.

A very nice feel, this brew has cling and holds the taste wonderfully.

Definitely on the list to buy again if I ever see it.

Pours a golden honey orange with a finger of foamy head that slowly settles to a thin cap with some lacing. Aroma of citrus and pine. Taste follows nose.

Not bad but nothing special at all. Like a perfectly neutral double IPA. Also it has been stated this beer hits your olfactory, not for me. Personal opinion, go for any different IPA or DIPA.

Drinking in a snifter at BlackBack Pub - still the best beer selection in Bẻmont.
Pours a nice orange-amber with a thick 2” head.
Hard orange hop smell.
Heavy bitternesss with some malt and a bit of citrus.
Somewhat harsh mouth feel. Somewhat astringent.
Very strong, but good.

draught
Fairly sustained, off-white head. Amber, with a little orange tint, for the look. Less than usual levels of aromatics. Mixed, candied grapefruit peel, medium toasted and caramelized, with a touch of pine, for the aroma. Even though light bodied for a double, the increased malt brings it up to IPA levels. Balanced mix of Darjeeling tea, tangerine and grapefruit peel, then medium toast, off-dry, caramel malt flavors.
