On tap at the Pine Box in Seattle, served in a pint glass.
Looks a slightly hazy golden orange with a small white cap of foam on top.
The smell is similar to Boneyard's standard IPA, with citrus, pine, and breadiness coming through. The dank hop aroma is a bit more prominent in this one, though.
Also much like the standard IPA, it delivers a great balance of bitter hops and sweet citrus, with the familiar malty, bread-like aftertaste. But the flavors are a bit amped up since this is an imperial ipa.
The feel is crisp and refreshing, but also somewhat substantial.
A very satisfying DIPA.
