Fresh Growler poured into a Mason Jar.
-Appearance was gorgeous. A copper and golden amber, clear. With a nice two inch head. Excellent lacing and retention. Looks almost thick.
-Smell is fantastic, just what you want out of a Double IPA. Citrusy, Hoppy, Grapefruit, Piney.
-Taste is delicious, not overly bitter hops, Orange peal, Grapefruit, Pine. Barely notice the 8.9%, which if you ask me is the truly amazing part of this beer.
-Mouthfeel has good carbonation and in fact is slightly chewy for the style (which I do enjoy). Finishes sweet , clean and dry.
-Overall a fantastic beer. I had heard it was good and this one really lived up the expectations. This one is right there with all of the other top Double IPA's I've had. I believe the higher ABV% is what really sets it apart for me.

I can't tell you all the fancy terms, i guess im not that smart. But if you have any intelligence, do yourself a favor drink this beer!! To me this is right up there with any IPA i have had, Pliny, Heady, Sculpin, ETC... this is just as good if not better. Yum (please forgive me for punctuation or spelling i have been drinking)

Draft to 16oz Pint
On tap @ Uber in Seattle, WA
App- This was served to me in a straight up pint glass. A big tall 16ozer. Huge dark oranges with some golds and yellows mixed in. The head was a good 1-1/2 fingers and left an amazing cling down the side of the glass. Just a window curtain.
Smell- This was a good mix in the glass when it warmed of fresh fruits, oily hops and dark pine. A bit strong on the pine IMO. A good mix of dank and fresh and on a cold night in Seattle this was warming on the nose.
Taste- This was a good beer. I mean when you can have this much hop flavor with a light malt bill and find that balance you are doing something right. Forget Pliny. This is up there with Heady. I was very glad I found this and had a 2nd glass. The hops are fruitful and thick but not overpowering to the rest of the flavors.
Mouth- A big thick full mouth feel. Felt like a cream sickle type of residual flavor. Creamy, lush and piney.
Drink- Such a good beer. Needs to be higher on this list than it is.
