Ewa Pantry doesn't look like much, but it's surprisingly a solid spot for craft beer.

For starters, they've got a decent selection of Belgian ales, including some Trappist offerings. While the craft is generally mixed in with "big beer" in the coolers, there's a good amount of it, including some relative rarities and aged beer - which appears to have been well taken care of, as well.

No matter your particular craft desire, you're likely to find something for it here: BA imperial stouts, IPAs, German lagers, abbey ales, local craft. Very pleased with this spot, and if you're West of Honolulu, you're unlikely to find a better option.

Ewa Pantry as the other reviewers have noted is located in a very easy to miss location. With that being said, dont let that fact deter you from making a stop here if you are in the mood for a good beer. For those living in the Kapolie/Ewa area of Hawaii this is the place to go for beer. Personally I think they have the best selection on the island. The place is very crowded and the aisles are tight, but with such a small store they carry a decent selection of beer for Hawaii. The prices are on par with any other craft beer you would buy on the island. The staff is friendly and do their best to help you with whatever you need. The rating of 5 for selection is relative to Hawaii.

In Hawaii, finding a great beer store is few and far between. I heard about this place and decided to give it a shot. It is a lilltle out of the way, but decided to head out any way. The place is jammed packed with tight walking spaces. Being a pretty hefty guy, I am waling around very carefully so that I don't knock over anything. Checking out their beer selection, I come across some beers that I have not seen at some of the other establishments that I have visited.

While there, I was able to pick up a bottle of Mirror Mirror, a bottle of Fantome Saison, peche mortel, aphrodite, some duvel, and a few other gems. This place is a little more pricier than other stores, but living in Hawaii, you have to be willing to pay a little more for what you can't get elsewhere!

This is one place I continue to return to for some of my favorite brews!

OK, once again, this rating is in comparison to other stores in Hawaii and not compared to mainland stores [just a little explanation for your mainlanders who come here].

In a non-descript little group of stores on the corner of Fort Weaver road. Easy to miss.

The store is relatively small, but jam packed with stuff. Hard to move around there's so much.

When you walk in, the beer is straight ahead in the narrow aisle. The coolers are on the right, there is shelving in the very back, around the corner from that and then on the other wall. Sort of small area, but they try to make the most of it.

I found Abyss here, which I have not seen or heard of in Hawaii. For that alone, they have my undying gratitude. There was a nice selection of Belgians and a bunch of Japanese beer that I have not seen before. Kudos for that.

I bought the Abyss, Goliath, Eisenbahn Escura, Isekadoya Triple Hop Ale and The Carpenter's Mikan Ale.

So, not a huge selection [there aren't any huge selections in Hawaii], but they get high marks for having some beers that I have not seen anywhere else.

Also found some rum that I have been looking for [Mount Gay Extra Old], so that was a bonus.

The owners/workers [seemed like a couple] were attentive, pleasant and helpful.

Overall, if I am out that way again, I'll stop and see if there are anymore pleasant surprises.
