Just a taster at the tap room.

A – Surprisingly light in color, bright yellow, head was stark white and tall.

S – Quite bright on the hop profile, hello Mr. Centennial. Quite floral and earthy, no sweet hop notes here, nice change of pace.

T – More Centennial here, this is refreshing, and clean, not much of a malt backbone here, which is OK.

M – Light to medium bodied, goes down nicely, this is slated just above their Session Pale on their menu, and I would have a tough time keeping them separated, very light here.

O – Not bad, its nice to see Grimm try their hand at a hoppy beer, but I don't really think that they need to. They do very well with their semi-traditional German offerings, they brew a lot of unique styles that you can't find anywhere else in the area. Hello: Weizenbock, Roggenbier, Schwarzbier, Dunkelweizen, Grätzer, Imperial Kottbusser. Keep it up Grimm, love that there is always something new on tap, some are big hits, some are misses, but hey, keep it going.

The latest of their series in single hop German Pale Ales. This time with centennial hops.

Pours orange golden with a cream colored head. Aroma is floral, grapefruit and its rind and pine from the hops, a bready malt base that veers towards cakey, and some spiciness from the German yeast. Flavor follows suit. A creamy, active, medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, another nice beer from Grimm Brothers here. Prefer the Amarillo version to this one, but I prefer Amarillo hops to Centennial Hops so it makes sense.
