I have been here enough times to figure that a review is finally in order.

A – It is in an industrial park, which is fine. Inside it is quite cozy, lots of big communal tables with high bar stools. The bar is simple, walk up and order your pint/taster/growler/bomber/bottle/six-pack.

Q – Quality is good, beers are always fresh, have a new cask offering every Friday.

S – Service is always good, and knowledgeable, friendly as well.

S – There is ALWAYS something new on tap. Good or bad, at least they are churning out new brews constantly. They do a very good job with the bavarian styles, its a nice change of pace for the area, which is dominated by hop bombs. I love hoppy beers, but I love that Grimm sticks with the German styles and goes for beers that are not on the beaten path.

F – Food is minimal, they have pretzels and peanuts inside. They do bring in food trucks, but they are parked directly outside the barn door and the generator noise absolutely ruins the atmosphere of the place. I appreciate the food trucks, sure, but they would be better if they didn't sound like they were inside the building.

V – Value is fair, growlers range from $10 - $28+, can get bombers for $6-8+ and sixers from $7+. The service is always good and the value is fair. Nice place to sit and relax, the kicker is they always have current issues of BA mag sitting about for you to read while you enjoy a pint or two.

Pretty small taproom but not the smallest, lots of communal table seating to maximize seating. On a nice and warm sunny day, half the front is open allowing the light and fresh air to definitely freshen the place up. Beer is well brewed for what it is for sure, even if not all styles they produce is quite my thing. But enough of them certainly are. About 8-10 beers on tap with some nice variety, some standard styles but also some unique styles that I haven't seen elsewhere. Overall, glad to have finally gotten around to checking this place out. In a state with stiff competition, I think these guys have definitely earned themselves a seat at the table. Good quality stuff that can stand up to the big boys, IMO.

I kind of love Grimm Bros. In part because I'm simply a sucker for a brewery's design. One of the reasons I love Equinox in Fort Collins so much is its small pub atmosphere and astronomically-themed brews. In a similar way, Grimm Brother's expanded space, with long wooden tables and roll up garage door that can open to the outside on beautiful days, as well as its fairy tale theme and excellent logo designs, already make it rather appealing to me.

The beer is pretty darn good, too. Not as extensive as some breweries I've seen, I'm still a pretty big fan of Master Thief, and last time I was there Farmer's Daughter was surprisingly impressive. They also had a bock that I really enjoyed, but I don't recall the name.

When we were there, we got into a conversation with one of the brewers, a friendly middle aged gentleman who was happy to go into his favorites and even let us have small samples of a few of his recommendations. Thus far, they've had one of the friendliest staffs I've encountered at a brewery.

If you only have time to visit one brewery in Loveland, I recommend this one (out of Big Beaver, Rock Bottom, Verboten, and Ale Works. I've yet to visit Crow Hop or Buckhorn). You'll have yourself a wonderful time.
