an ambitious attempt from strange here. poured into a pint glass, which is not the standard glassware. very little head on this one, but a nice golden color. not as cloudy as many saisons either. smells really good, like hay and cut grass, with a funky yeast happening. flavor is not as good as the nose, kind of a dull earthen vibe, without the spicy or fruity brightly carbonated tones ive come to know and love in a saison. also feels a bit heavy for the style, but overall not a bad beer. (492 characters)

First had: on tap at their brewpub / tasting room

Poured a clear bronze color with a patchy white head. This tasting followed their Farmhouse Ale, so I already had some saison on the senses, but I did like this one a bit more, I think because the alcohol took a bit of a step back. Aroma and taste were very similar: sweet and malty, bready yeast, fruity esters, a touch of wet grass, and a moderate mix of hops and spice. Basically a good all-around saison. Medium-bodied and quite drinkable. (494 characters)

I had this one earlier this afternoon at the brewery. Poured a surprisingly clear dark golden color with a good sized white head. Aromas of black pepper, Belgian spice and yeast. On the palate, this one was medium bodied and earthy, with flavors of spices and Belgian yeast. (274 characters)
