Had the Zora on draft on site. What a fascinating beer. Rosemary seems to be all the rage right now, and a lot of the breweries are doing their take on it. This was one of the best examples I have tried to date. It was very smooth, with a the right amount of sweetness to balance the slightly bitter herbal rosemary. The mouthfeel was substantial (I think the board said they used oatmeal), and the finish was surprising clean. This is a great new way to enjoy a beer on a hot day, and I think the right food pairings could make it even better.
It helps that it was a beautiful day in Colorado, and that Strange Brewing has a fun, funky, outdoor feel to it. Great service and very laid back people.

How there aren't more beers like this around is beyond me. Zora is refreshing and unusual.
It's a lighter gold with a good head and lacing, and it smells like the fresh bread they give you at Macaroni Grill. Think roasted dough and dried rosemary (go figure). Even better, the rosemary comes through in the taste, too. More bread! Add to that a slightly herbal bitterness, some lemon and wheat and you've got a meal in a bottle. Or at least the start of one.

On tap at Strange Brewing poured a hazy orange amber with a lasting ivory head. Aromas of rosemary, straw and light citrus. Mouthfeel was light to medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of rosemary, straw asnd light citrus with a crisp dry lingering rosemary finish.

On tap at Strange this was quite the odd duck. Bright orange yellow color. It smelled like rosemary and roasted chicken was all I could think of. As I tasted it I was blasted by the rosemary and again couldn't think of anything but a chicken dinner. This was just too odd but it would make a great beer for beer-can chicken.

on tap upstairs at wynkoop. pours an almost clear orange to light rust color, with a lacey just off white head. smells like orange zest and rosemary, no kidding. some hops also on the back end, piney. flavor is crisp and very citrusy at first, but it mellows out to a biscuity malt middle and finally a very unique fresh rosemary herbed finish. never had a beer like this before, as i thought the saison du buff didnt highlight the herbs enough. this one might have went the other way, overpowering just a tad on the rosemary. not sure id drink 5 of these, but a pint was quite nice actually. feel is good, excellent carbonation and a pretty middling body. overall a creative beer that exceeded my expectations.
