Buckethead IPA is like riding a bucking bull, naked. Big buckets of hops give you a bitter and bold kick in the mouth that makes you feel alive. To up the intensity, we add four types of hops that are balanced by a light caramel malt sweetness.

Good beer. Was not crazy about the smell but also was not turned away by it. I prefer very strong hoppy smells. Taste is not overly hoppy but still has the slight bitter aftertaste that I enjoy. Alcohol content is perfect. I don't drink slot of beer and this is a one hitter that provides taste and kick. Overall a great sipping ipa that would not turn away non ipa drinkers. I would drink it again.

On tap. Amber color with a thin layer of white head. Smells of caramel and pine. Full bodied. Caramel malt flavor with pine and grapefruit notes. Pretty nice

Draft at the airport
Pours creamy frothy med head with moderate retention, sticky lacing, hazy orange red color
Nose big hops, citrus, pine, spicy, old school pnw hops, sweet grainy toasted malt
Taste brings more sweet malt, fair sweetness, some caramel, toasted amber malt with cereal, fair hops, again piney citrusy little spicy, med bitterness quickly ramping to high bitterness on the back end, good balance, long bitter finish
Mouth is med to fuller bod, med carb
Overall solid old school ipa

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance - The beer is served a lightly hazed orange amber color with a one finger head of white foam. The head fades away fast leaving a small amount of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell - The aroma of the brew is light overall with just a little bit of caramel and tropical fruit. There is a touch of bread and some very light grapefruit as well.
Taste- The taste begins with a toasted malt flavor that has a good showing of grapefruit and some herbal hop . As the taste advances some sweetness of caramel and tangerine come to the tongue and are accompanied by some earthy and light pine hop. With a increase in the sweet and malt at the very end, one is left with a moderatly hoppy and slightly more sweet and malty taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel- The body of the beer is thick and chewy with a lower carbonation level. For the malty taste and more moderate hop the feel is great and makes it a rather nice sipper overall.
Overall - While not a hop powerhouse this is a tasty and enjoyable brew with a little warming feel overall. Pretty enjoyable!!

Got this at HEB in Belton Texas. 9.99 for a 6 pack. it has nice art work and graphics on the box that the bottles come in. Tastes like an IPA but there is nothing special about it, not even bitter no citrus peel taste or flavors. While it tastes good and has a awesome ABV content it is a bit disappointing when i expect some kind of grapefruit peal pucker. I would drink this again but I wont go out of my way to get it.

Deep copper look, clear with few bubbles, and a somewhat thin head but good lacing.
Not much in the nose. Very malty, not much in the way of hops.
A good tasting beer, but not really an IPA. Like the nose, much more malt than hops.
Good mouthfeel and high ABV. Not really sure when this beer would fit. Probably with a spicy meal.

12oz bottle with a best by date of 6-9-19 (opened 6-1-19).
3/4" off white head. Deep copper gold IPA, clean and clear. Great lacing.
Big, malty base...floral and faint piney hops. Brown bread and caramel.
Caramel, some brown sugar and a big, blast of piney-floral hops. Some hint of a yeasty character.
Medium-full body and an oily mouthfeel. Long sweet malt/bitter hop finish - floral / earthy hops.
Unique IPA experience based on what's out there now...malty, big, bold, bitter, clear, copper colored...different and good.
