Only been open for a short time. Rick is working hard to get product in the store. He hired a guy named Matt, real nice guy and seems to know his beers. They have an entire wall of beer coolers with a great selection of singles. He's got everything set up nicely so far with the Macros in the back of the store . . . where they belong. I haven't bought enough yet to tell if pricing will be any different than Lonestar. I'm sure it will be the same, which is a little more than other specialty stores but not so much that keeeps me away.

Ok, this is the most wonderful beer store in DFW. From the time you walk in until you leave it is like beer Heaven. They have the best selection and the best customer service. Ask for Matt, he knows his stuff and won't treat you wrong. If you are looking for something they don't have, he can find it and order it or recommend something just as good. As far as the pricing goes, it is very reasonable. You might could find some of the items a slight bit cheaper at other places, but the majority of it is the same or better. This place is 60 miles away from where I live, and I gladly make the trip when in need of good brew. I highly recommend Sam's to anyone who loves good beer.

It's great to see that Rick and Sam opened a fabulous beer store in an area that needed it badly. I am so glad that I do not have to go to the pink bird known as Flamingo's for craft beer. The selection is vast and Matt, the beer manager, who has forgotten more beer than I know, was exceptional in assisting my beer needs. Despite living in Frisco, I will drive by any means necessary to Sam's, so that I can have the experience and selection I want in a top notch craft beer store. Bravo gentlemen...bravo!

Stopped in here today, 6 Oct 2010.

Clean store, personable staff, decent selection. Good availability of Texas micros, including all three canned Southern Star, much of the Rahr and St. Arnold lineup, as well as Independence and Real Ale. Also Stone, Brooklyn, Victory and Harpoon. Glassware at $6 for two, I got a Franziskaner weiss glass and Aventinus glass. Also got a 10% discount for mentioning/being a BAer...

Overall I would definitely go back when in the area but selection would not get me too far out of my way to get here.

I really liked this place. I have not been to the other store but have heard good things about it. I visited this store for the first time and the guy working was very knowledgeable about beer and very personable. Prices seemed reasonable and I got a great deal on a Maudite Tulip glass and a Chimay glass at two for $6. Well, that seemed like a good deal to me. Selection seemed to have most of what is available in Texas and I like the mix and match six packs for $9.99. I will definitely be coming back to this place for my beer needs.
