Pint on draft at Bull Run in Shirley, Mass.
Appearance: A clear dark mahogany with a thin cream head.
Aroma: Light nose of wood, caramel, malts, some grass, some herbal quality. Fresh bread.
Taste: Tastes like brown bread with some caramel and maybe a wee bit of coffee. Nutty. Herbal touch. Little bit of hops. I like this!
Mouthfeel: Pretty easy on the palate. A session brown ale for a winter’s night.
Overall: I can’t imagine why this isn’t rated higher. Very enjoyable nut brown type ale. A nice change of pace from all the big boozy beers and huge IPAs out there.

Pours dark chestnut brown with a finger of head that quickly settles. Sweet malty smell, light roast. Taste is like the smell, with a little bitterness. Mouthfeel is good, bubbly with some body and a little bitter aftertaste. Overall, a pretty good brown ale but I think it has some off notes that bring it down.

A very nice dark brown ale that pours smooth with little to no head from a 22oz. Very little carbonation on the tongue, which I like, with a sweet maltly flavor start to finish. A nice drinking beer with low alcohol content. Happy I tried it, but doubt I would buy for myself. It was given to me as part of a holiday basket. Shouldn't all holiday baskets have beer in them?

Dark brown color with almost no head.
Smells like roasted nuts.
The taste is also very nutty with caramel and chocolate overtones.
Pretty light mouthfeel and fairly low carbonation.
This is probably my favorite brown ale and one of my favorite beers in general. I'm surprised it's not rated more highly.

A-Beautiful deep brown, almost black color with barely any head at all.
S-Phenomenal on the nose - nutty, malty and a bit sweet. All the smells blend well and the nuttiness comes through the best, just like a brown ale should smell.
T-A little off here, unfortunately. A bit sour and tannic. Malts and sweetness do not come through as well as I'd like but finishes with a good nutty aftertaste.
MF-Watery, medium bodied
O-Pretty good brown. Smell is fantastic but it falls short on taste and mouthfeel. Overall not too bad. I'd drink it again.

Decent British style Brown Ale. Surprisingly clean finish for a low ibu Brown Ale. Nice roasty balance to the sweetness. I preferred the IPA and Saison I had.
