Brown. Mild tan head. Whispy head. Aroma was a good mix of vanilla, peppers, chocolate, smoke.

Taste was impressive, chocolate first, peppers next in just the right proportion. Hides the alcohol in a big way. Mellow warming throughout, easily the best bottled beer Great Basin has ever made.

Draft pour at brewery; pours black with sliver of head. Aroma is nice with notes of vanilla and chocolate. Taste matches but adds in some caramel and a wonderful hit of the habernaro on the finish. Very drinkable beer, and I thought it to be the best of the bunch.

This beer was pretty good some real nice notes of habenero pepper with some subtle coffe/ roasted notes. The flavor from the pepper takes the forefront on the flavor but there is some nice chocolate/ roasted malt flavors to the beer. There is some sweetness and not a lot of bitterness or any hop flavors. This is a strong one

Brewed for the apocalypse. Or not. That's what the label says. Pours out a dark brown color, thin beige head whisps out over the top, barely around 1/8". Aroma of vanilla, brown sugar, chocolate malt, smoked malt.

Taste brings the honey out. Complex without being uppity and going for some exotic unique type of thing. Sweet at times, just the right amount of smoked malt to not be a distraction or overpower some of the nuances in the beer. Pretty easy drinking at 11am, I was watching Marquette bounce back from the travesty in Green Bay, doing a solid number on LSU the first half while I sipped this beer. Really gets better as it warms too, the mouthfeel is great, you get this mellow warming sensation on the tongue from the 10% abv as well as the chile peppers (Anaheim?). Very subtle, my girlfriend couldn't even detect the chile peppers. Says it is also made with corn, which may give the beer the easier going body that made it relatively drinkable. Molasses, chocolate, honey and vanilla just meld so good.

Seriously, I think this is the best bottled beer thus far in Nevada. Pretty sharp stuff.
